A member of The Miami Herald news team that won the Pulitzer Prize Gold Medal for the paper's coverage of Hurricane Andrew, staff photographer Marice Cohn Band has captured many historic and memorable events in South Florida, Latin America and the Caribbean for over three decades. As a photojournalist, Band’s work has been published in such magazines as Newsweek, Time, and U.S. News and World Report, and has been honored by The Inter American Press Association, National Press Photographer Association, and National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
